In the case of Decorated weapons, the exterior wear of the received weapon is the same as the wear of one of the items from the same collection. However, the result will most likely be from the Confidential Collection Case because there are more items from that crate. For example, if 8 Space Hamster Hammys, 1 Burstchester, and 1 Cold Case are selected, then the result will be an elite grade item from either the Confidential Collection Case or the Blue Moon Cosmetics Collection. If all submitted items were Strange, then the output is also Strange. The resulting item is selected at random from one of the same collection(s) as the originating items submitting multiple items from a single collection will guarantee receiving an item from the next higher grade of that collection. Strange items may also be accepted, although Unusual items are prohibited.Īfter confirming the input of the required number of items, the player receives one item of the next higher grade. Weapons may be of any exterior wear, but must all be of the same grade (Civilian, Freelance, Mercenary, etc.). Trade-Up requires ten weapons or cosmetics of the same grade. It is accessible via a sub-menu in the backpack, either through inspecting a valid Trade-Up item, an empty space in the backpack, or the Soul Gargoyle.
